Role Description

NX Engineering Srl is looking for a Junior Energy Transition Engineer with an interest in the renewable energy sector to join the Energy Transition business unit.

The role will support the technical team in the development and management of renewable energy projects, including photovoltaic, BESS and wind projects, working alongside senior professionals and contributing to the different project phases.

The candidate will report to the Head of the Energy Transition BU and collaborate with the internal team to ensure technical quality and project consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the technical development of photovoltaic, BESS and wind projects.
• Support the preparation of single-line diagrams and basic electrical layouts.
• Contribute to technical reports, bills of quantities and project documentation.
• Carry out preliminary analyses and energy simulations, using PVSyst or equivalent software, under supervision.
• Support the verification of grid connection requirements, LV, MV and HV.
• Interface with internal and external designers for technical coordination.
• Support permitting, construction and as-built activities.
• Take part in technical meetings and project coordination meetings.
• Stay up to date on technical standards and sector technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or related fields.
• 0–2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, including internships or traineeships.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design for PV and/or BESS plants.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Interest in renewable energy and technical design.
• Ability to work in a team and good organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PVSyst or similar software.
• Basic knowledge of sector regulations.
• Technical English.

A valid Category B driving licence is required.
