Role Description

NX Engineering is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering team. The selected candidate will work alongside senior professionals and will have the opportunity to progressively develop both technical and management skills, contributing to the design, modelling and development of electrical systems, from civil and industrial installations to large-scale power infrastructure.

The position is open to entry-level and junior profiles with a solid background in Electrical or Energy Engineering and a strong motivation to develop practical and specialised expertise in this field.

The role may involve working across different Business Units, with the opportunity to gradually specialise in the area of greatest interest and expertise:

• Energy Transition (photovoltaic, wind and BESS systems)
• MEP (civil, industrial and Oil & Gas electrical systems)
• T&D (power transmission and distribution systems, grid studies according to DSO and TSO codes)

Assignments may evolve over time according to professional growth and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the design of electrical systems within MEP, Oil & Gas, MV/HV networks, SCADA and protection & control systems.
• Support the development of renewable energy systems (photovoltaic, wind) and BESS solutions.
• Prepare electrical schematics, layouts and technical drawings in CAD/BIM environments.
• Develop bills of quantities, technical reports and technical datasheets.
• Support Lead Engineers and Project Managers in daily project activities.
• Interface with suppliers and contractors for the collection of technical data.
• Participate in internal project and coordination meetings.

Requirements

• Preferably a Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or Energy Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge of the fundamental principles of electrical systems and power systems.
• Basic knowledge of transmission and distribution networks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under supervision.
• Curiosity, flexibility and a proactive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of one of NX Engineering’s Business Units.
• Previous experience, even limited, in electrical design.
• BIM skills (Revit MEP).
• Knowledge of electrical design software (Ampère, E-PLUS, Dialux, XGSLab, CEI FLASH).
• Knowledge of power system analysis software (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP).
• Technical English proficiency.

A valid Category B driving licence is required.
